*DAMAGE INITIATION

Keyword type: model definition, material

This option is used to define the properties of a damage initiation model. There is one required parameter CRITERION. Two criteria are available: RICE TRACEY and JOHNSON COOK, cf. Section 6.8.19.

First line:

• *DAMAGE INITIATION
• Enter the CRITERION parameter and its value

Following line for CRITERION=RICE TRACEY:

• $\epsilon_0^{RT}$.
• value of the damage initiation criterion $\omega_D$ at the onset of damage.

Following lines for CRITERION=JOHNSON COOK:

First line of pair:

• $d_1$
• $d_2$
• $d_3$
• $d_4$
• $d_5$
• $T_m$ (melt temperature)
• $T_0$ (transition temperature $< T_m$)
• $\dot{\epsilon}_0$ (reference strain rate $>0$)

Second line of pair:

• value of the damage initiation criterion $\omega_D$ at the onset of damage.
