*USE REFINED MESH

Keyword type: model definition

With this option one can use a refined version of the mesh actually provided in the input deck. This refined mesh must have been generated using *REFINE MESH in another calculation with exactly the same unrefined mesh and applying boundary conditions and loads at exactly the same locations as in the present input deck. If the other calculation had as job name “test1” then the refined mesh has been stored in a file “test1.rfn.inp” and the unrefined mesh in a file “test1.urf.frd”. If the new job has has job name “test2”, “test1.rfn.inp” and “test1.urf.frd” have to be copied into “test2.rfn.inp” and “test2.urf.frd” before starting test2. In the new job the user can e.g. change the material properties are the values of the boundary conditions and/or loadings.
